Tallow Skincare Journey


My skin took a turn for the absolute worst once I entered my 40s. I tried everything - expensive creams, serums, prescriptions, you name it. I spent a small fortune trying so many different products, but nothing seemed to work. I was putting on makeup daily, even when I was staying at home, because I was so embarrassed by how bad my skin looked.

Then, I happened to find a video online of someone with my same skin conditions who used tallow.

It wasn't a glamorous discovery or one that was a trendy ingredient splashed across magazine covers. It was a simple fat that our ancestors used daily.

I took a chance and started using tallow on my skin. Initially, the fact that I didn't break out all over from the tallow was an achievement in and of itself. But it was after a couple of weeks of consistent use that my skin transformed. It felt clear, nourished, balanced, and truly healthy for the first time in years.

The results were so dramatic that I couldn't keep it to myself. I started making soap and balms as gifts for friends and family. Soon, I was whipping up batches of tallow soap and balm for everyone I knew.

Who We Are

Hi, I'm Cris. My family and I are on a small bit of acreage in Northwest Georgia that we've lovingly dubbed Dragon Creek Ranch after the beautiful dragonflies that flourish on our property. 

Here at Dragon Creek Ranch, we're passionate about creating simple, effective tallow skincare using only the highest quality ingredients. We believe in the power of nature to nourish, and we're committed to crafting products that are as good for your skin as they are for the planet.

  • Essential Oils vs. Fragrances: For customers with sensitive skin who only want essential oils for added scent, we offer these and clearly label them on our website. For those who prefer a stronger scent, fragrance options are clearly labeled, and we only source safer fragrances that are phthalate-free, cruelty-free, and Prop 65 compliant. 
  • Handmade with Love: Each batch of our tallow soap and balm is hand-crafted with care and attention to detail.
